Apple Music lets you create collaborative playlists

Apple announced today that Apple Music subscriptions now have access collaborative playlists following the launch of iOS 17.3. The new feature allows users to collaborate with their friends and family on playlists. Users can invite one another to select tracks for shared playlists. You can also use emojis to react to certain songs.

This new feature allows you to easily share songs with others. Plus, you can use it to plan the soundtrack of events such as parties or game nights. The new feature was launched a few months following the launch of Spotify’s a Collaboration playlist feature called “Jam.”

To get started with the feature, you need to navigate to a playlist and click the new “collaborate” button that appears next to the download icon on the top right of your screen. You can then invite other people to join the playlist. Users will receive a message inviting them to join the playlist. Everyone on the playlist can add songs, delay or reorder them.

Initial expectations were that the playlists would roll out alongside iOS 17Apple was previously a spokesman Note:The date was pushed back to 2024.

Apple also announced that users can now contribute to what’s playing in a car with SharePlay. Apple Music users in a vehicle will receive an invitation to invite other iPhone devices to join them. Listeners can then control the music from their own devices, even if they don’t have an Apple Music subscription.

The launch of iOS 17.3 also brings Apple’s new Stolen Device Protection featureThis helps to prevent hackers from accessing your data.

To turn on Stolen Device Protection, you need to go into your settings then tap “Face ID & Passcode.” You then need to enter your device passcode tap to turn Stolen Device Protection on. The feature needs to be activated before a device is lost or taken.
